In case it should be necessary to close or delay the start of school, notification will appear on the District 843 home page. In addition, an automated message will be sent to students that attend classes in LWASE Cooperative programs (Pioneer Grove and SELF housed in Mokena School District #159) communicating any changes to the typical school day or closures due to weather or emergency issues. Please make sure to have your current contact information on file.

Students who attend a private special education facility should receive notification from their facility in the event of a schedule change or closure. Students transported by District #843 will be notified if transportation services will not be provided due to an emergency closing or inclement weather.
